Martha Donkor

Department: Women's and Gender Studies

I have been an active member of APSCUF. I am my Department's representative, a past co-chair of the Social Justice Committee and through that, a member of Exec, and was a member of the just ended contract negotiations team. Your vote will give me the opportunity to learn more about the Union and serve better.

Thanks

Heather Edelblute

Department: Public Health Sciences

I have served as a Department Representative for APSCUF for the past 3 years and would like to step up my involvement by serving as a state delegate. I have a background in health policy and have worked, for example, to advocate for critical public health funding at the national level. At the same time, I think that effective local representation is critical to moving policy forward at a state level, and would love to be part of these efforts with WCU and APSCUF.

Andy Famiglietti

Department: English

I'm a currently serving State Delegate, and I find my time at Legislative assembly to be informative and useful. Learning about our state organization helps me in my role as APSCUF PR chair at WCU. I'd be happy to serve again.

Department: Economics & Finance

I appreciate your vote. I'll be delighted to serve again as I previously served as an APSCUF State Delegate alternate.

Curry Malott

Department: Ed Foundations and Policy Studies

Greetings colleagues. I have served as a State Delegate before and was active as a co-Mobilization Chair when we were on strike. I have been a faculty member at WCU since 2011. I have seen several attacks on our union, some successful, some not. If elected I will do my best to speak up at meetings and represent our collective interests as a faculty.

Mark Rimple

Department: Music Theory, History, and Composition

I would be honored to serve as a state delegate to APSCUF. I have led our local chapter as President (two terms, including the oversight of our first strike), Vice President, and several terms as both Corresponding and Recording Secretary. I have been active on the Negotiations Committee (the group of chapter presidents) for several terms, have renegotiated local agreements on tenure and promotion, and also advocated for faculty rights. I've also advocated with public officials at the state level on behalf of APSCUF Membership in times when we were facing financial crises, or to help push for better public funding for students in PA, which ranks near the bottom among US States.

Having led our delegation as Chapter President, I am familiar with and enthusiastic about our state legislative assemblies. I would greatly enjoy lending my expertise to our excellent delegation once again.

Dear Colleagues,

As a State Delegate, I will advocate for policies that improve our professional lives and our students' education.

Thank you for considering my nomination. I'm eager to contribute positively in this role.
