Clayton S. Garthwait

Department: University Libraries

Hello! It is my sincere hope you will support my bid to represent WCU once again in the APSCUF State Assembly. It has been my pleasure to serve and learn the process over the last few years. I hope to build upon my experience by serving another term and continuing to build connections across the system that benefit the faculty and students of West Chester University. Thank you for considering my nomination.

Department: History

Having just completed my first term as state APSCUF Rep, I have learned much about the workings of the statewide organization and would welcome the opportunity to put that knowledge to work in a second term, representing the interests of the WCU faculty members.

Michael Malcolm

Department: Economics & Finance

I have been a state delegate since Fall 2014. In that time, I have become deeply involved in APSCUF activites, especially as related to financial matters. I co-coordinated the solidarity fund during the 2016 job action and I am currently the only WCU representative to the statewide budget committee. I hope to continue with this work.

My approach is that this representation is a two-way process. I always try to bring WCU issues to the state level and to represent our interests there. At the same time, I communicate information from the state level back to our faculty and coaches.

I have a background in game theory, with published research on baragaining and negotiations. I also have a deep interest in labor issues since at least 2004, when I was involved in a job action at the University of Wisconsin as a TA. Finally, the business school is historically underrepresented in APSCUF activities, and I think that this is an important perspective to bring to the table.

I would appreciate your support for this position! I hope to be able to continue my work on behalf of all our faculty and coaches.

Victoria Tischio

Department: English

I have been serving in the capacity of State Delegate for four years straight. I have learned a lot in this role as I continue to become more involved in state-level APSCUF. Currently, I serve as our campus Membership Chair and on the State-wide Membership Committee, as well as on the State-wide Meet and Discuss Team. I advocate for our campus and for APSCUF in general as a State Delegate and on the committees mentioned above. I would like your vote so I can continue in the capacity for another term..
