Claire L. Dente

Department: Undergraduate Social Work

I am an Associate Professor in the Undergraduate Social Work Department. I am currently completing my first 2 year term as an APSCUF State Delegate. This experience offered me an opportunity to learn about the PASSHE System and WCU’s relationship with the broader state educational system. In addition to representing WCU at State APSCUF Legislative Sessions, I was able to bring information back to faculty on campus and to encourage our membership to learn about key issues that have implications for both faculty and students. It is an honor for me to represent the faculty at West Chester University. I attended all scheduled State Legislative Assemblies held during my term. It would be a privilege to serve in this capacity again for the next two years. Thank you for considering me to represent faculty as an APSCUF State Delegate for the 2015-2017 term.

John Elmore

Department: Professional & Secondary Education

I am requesting your support in continuing as an APSCUF state delegate. I have been a consistently active member of APSCUF throughout my nine years here at WCU, first as a department representative and then as a state delegate. As a faculty member in the foundations of education I have had the unique circumstance in which my profession has also been a centerpiece of my research agenda. I have not only been an outspoken advocate for faculty rights and a critic of corporate reforms on our campus, but also in academic venues and publications across the country and around the world. As developments in the last few years have demonstrated, WCU has a unique set of circumstances within PASSHE. I believe it is critical that we find a way to communicate those unique circumstances - and the needs they produce - to our fellow chapters, while maintaining a committed solidarity to our union as a whole.

John Elmore, Professor

Thanks to all of you that continue to support APSCUF!

I would like to continue to serve WCU as a representative to the state assembly of APSCUF. Having served at the state level for the past 10 years, I offer our delegation experience and historical perspective. Thank you for your support.

Curry Malott

Department: Professional and Secondary Education

I served as an Alternate Delegate for years, attending State Assemblies many times. I am currently my departments' union representative and the Deputy Strike Mobilization Chair for the campus. I am running to be a State Delegate so I can continue to serve my union, my department, my college, and my colleagues at WCU. Many thanks for your support. Curry Malott

Lisa Millhous

Department: Communication Studies

As a member of the Negotiations Team, I will be travelling to the State Legislative Assembly and it would make sense for me to be able to vote with the WCU delegation if needed. I would be honored to continue representing WCU at the State level. Thank you for your continued support of APSCUF.

Cassandra L. Reyes

Department: Criminal Justice

I am an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice in my sixth year at WCU and I have been serving as a State Delegate for APSCUF-WCU for the past three years. Since I was first elected to this position, I have attended and participated in all State Legislative Assemblies that have been held, in addition to the Strike Workshop in Harrisburg. Also, I currently serve as the APSCUF-WCU Legislative Committee Chair and have attended all of the State Legislative Committee meetings since I was appointed to this role last fall. In addition, I am the Criminal Justice Department Coordinator-Center City, which allows me to take the WCU Philadelphia campus-specific issues to the local and State levels to be addressed. I would like to continue to serve the WCU Faculty in this capacity and I am very dedicated to making sure that our voices are heard on the State-level, especially as we enter another contract negotiation period. I thank you all in advance for your continued support in this endeavor.

Victoria Tischio

Department: English

I served one term as an APSCUF State Delegate about four years ago. I found this work rewarding as it helped clarify some of the issues we experience on campus and how they relate to other PASSHE campuses and the state system. I have also been active in APSCUF over the years, serving as strike coordinator for the English department several contracts ago, and helping to design and coordinate the "funeral for education" rally we held in front of the Chester County Courthouse to protest Gov. Corbett's education budget cuts. Now that I have completed my term as department chair and as interim Associate Dean for CAS, I would like to represent WCU as a State Delegate once again.

I am a full-time temporary English instructor at West Chester University and have held this position for the last eight years. I would enjoy the opportunity to represent my colleagues. Thank you.
