Cortie Ervin

Department: English

I believe that I would be a reliable and valuable alternate for APSCUF state delegate. I am currently the webmaster for Local APSCUF (www.apscufwcu.com). I have been a local delegate for the past two years and assisted with the process of organizing picket chairs during the last negotiation. I want to ensure that the union is viable and strong in the future and feel that working on behalf of APSCUF is the most important university-wide serice I can accomplish.

Victoria Tischio

Department: English

I have been an active member of the union since my arrival at WCU in 1998. I've spent time staffing voting tables and handing out flyers for union activities. I was very active in the contract negotiation and strike efforts on campus this past summer, serving as the English Department's Strike Chair. I have served as an alternate for the local delegate assembly and, more recently, was elected to serve as a local delegate. I believe that my degree of commitment to union issues makes me a strong candidate for Alternate State Delegate.
