This fall reductions in the State Share of the Cost of Your Education has

resulted in:

• Higher tuition and increased fees
• Cancelled classes
• Increased class sizes
• More classes taught by temporary instructors
• More students advised by fewer faculty

The State System of Higher Education (SSHE) now wants faculty to accept a

new contract that will diminish the quality of your education and your faculty

through proposed cuts in real salary and benefits, the continued decrease in

the number of permanent faculty, and other changes.

Faculty do not want to strike, BUT MAY HAVE NO CHOICE.

Faculty want to maintain the high quality of education provided by the State

System of Higher Education and do not want to see it transformed into a

factory for the manufacture of diplomas.

Right now your faculty is working without a contract.

We need your help to avoid a strike.
